FULGENCIO LAZO
Born in the Zapotec mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico, on April 27, 1967.
1985-1989 Studied in the School of Fine Arts of the Autonomous University Benito Ju‡rez of Oaxaca, Mexico, with Professor Shinzaburo Takeda.
1987 Participated at Taller de Rufino Tamayo in engraving courses with Professor Javier Cruz.
1990 Obtained a scholarship to study at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington, provided by El Centro de la Raza and Cornish.
1990-present Maintains studios in both Seattle, Washington and Oaxaca, Mexico, where he works in oil on canvas, relief paintings, and printmaking. LazoÕs work can be seen at the Seattle Art Museum Rental/Sales gallery, Baas Gallery in Seattle, in Oaxaca at Galeria Indigo and Galeria Arte Mexicano and in Galeria Indigo, Valle De Bravo, Estado de Mexico.
